This Friday (January 27) I’m giving a talk at the Laboratoire d’Etude des Mécanismes Cognitifs at Université Lyon 2. I’m looking forward to meeting Emilie Gerbier and her colleagues and to exchange thoughts on research of learning phenomena. I will talk about the measurement of cognitive processes in learning effects using Multinomial Processing Tree models.
I will give a talk on my dissertation at the TeaP 2010 in Saarbrücken. The title of my talk is “Distributed practice in school: The role of storage and retrieval processes in the lag effect”!
I’m looking forward to the conference!!!
Yesterday was my poster presentation which was successful and fun. I talked for about 2 hours with a Ph.D student from France who is also engaged in distributed practice. We had a fruitful discussion about the problems and the challenges in this research field. It was super nice to talk to someone who is interested in the same thing.
I hope that we keep in touch. 🙂
In general, the conference is going well. In addition, the venue and the city are amazing and I’m looking forward to the next two days.
