First Service Learning Project (Fall term 2009) finished!

By | 2015-12-06T14:58:39+00:00 March 5th, 2010|Project, Teaching|

Today, we handed over the final reports of the two school projects that were conducted from October 2009 to December 2009 at the Elisabeth school in Mannheim. The reports contain a detailed description of the project as well as the results that were revealed. The pupils and the school principals were very excited about it.

I am very happy that both projects came to a successful end! Thanks to all students who invested so much time and effort in this undertaking.
I hope that the pupils and teachers find our suggestions and our findings helpful!

New Service Learning Project

A new Service Learning Project will start next week. The cooperation school is the “Liselotte-Gymnasium” in Mannheim. I’m very excited about this new project.

Students will teach 10th grade pupils of a chemistry class a learning strategy using different instruction methods.

It’ll be a very elaborate but also fun project! I expect students and pupils to benefit a lot from this experience!

School Projects

By | 2009-10-06T13:38:16+01:00 October 6th, 2009|Project, Study|

Both school projects that my students and I planned in September have just started last Monday.

The projects are quite challenging and offer a great opportunity for the students to learn more about the implementation of learning strategies and the interaction with pupils in the school environment. Furthermore, the pupils, teachers, and school principals are curious about the project outcomes.

The projects will run from October to the end of November. Thus, first results are expected in December.

I’m looking forward to a successful project realization!
