Continuing Professional Development Workshops

I regularly deliver CPD workshops to teachers and lectures. These workshops are tailored to the audience and the goal is to provide an overview of the most promising, research-informed learning strategies and how to apply them in the classroom. The workshops are a hybrid of presentation from my side, group activities, and individual brainstorming exercises. The workshops are meant to validate what instructors are already doing and provide them with new ideas on how to tweak their teaching portfolio. My CPD workshops a step for building a collaborative partnership between instructors and researchers.

Quotes from attendees

I just want to say how much I enjoyed your seminar yesterday. I have been a teacher for 25 years in both the primary and secondary school sectors and now at the university and everything that you said resonated with me. Not only can I use what you have said in my own teaching but I hope to also spread the word to my teaching students.

Tara Harper, Lecturer in Education, University of Dundee

It was so refreshing to have such a depth of knowledge delivered with such clarity.

I like the fact that Carolina was very passionate about translating the scientific research into actual teaching language.

Teacher, anonymous

She was fascinating. I could listen to her all day! Learned such a lot.

Thanks so much…we had lots of positive feedback from so many staff about what you shared and explained and the work of the staff in the afternoon was really positive and relevant and should provide a sound structure for purposeful action this year.

Head Teacher, anonymous

Loved today’s @SenecaLearn TeachMeet with @pimpmymemory about Test Anxiety. Really well presented and extremely interesting.

Al MacDonald, Teacher

Brief note to say I attended the Anxiety in Education session and it was outstanding: highly informative, easy to understand and with techniques I can quickly use to help students.
